Chiropractic care is about connection.

Every aspect of the natural world is inter-connected.
Our brains are connected to every single cell, tissue and organ in our body.
Our bodies are intricately connected to our environment.
Humans are deeply connected to each other.

Your nervous system

The connection between our body, our environment, and the people around us, occurs through our brain and nervous system.
We live every single aspect of our lives though our nervous system.
So it makes sense that the quality of our life, is entirely dependent on the health of our nervous system.

How chiropractic care impacts your body health

Located in the joints of our spine are vital nerve receptors that constantly send messages to our brain. If our spine isn’t functioning properly, the communication between our body and brain is interrupted. Not to mention, we adapt more poorly to stress, which may lead to a range of health concerns.

Chiropractor visits - How it works?

Initial consultation – Can Chiro help you?
Your first visit will include a review of your health history and a thorough examination to determine if we are the right people to help you with your health concerns.
If we’re not the best fit, we can refer you to the appropriate person best suited for your care.

Relief phase - How Chiro can help youInitial consultation – Can Chiro help you?
If we feel we can help, we give you options for how to start the process of restoring healthy movement patterns to your spine. Encouraging these healthy new movement habits takes time and repetition.

Depending on the extent of your health concerns, we usually see you more regularly in the relief phase which might be once or twice per week.

Corrective phase – minimising risk of symptoms returning
There are many tissues involved with the spine; muscles, discs, tendons, ligaments. Each of these tissues take a different amount of time to heal and function correctly.

Engaging in our Ocean Grove Chiropractic care to improve the movement patterns of your spine in the relief phase, helps heal the soft tissue structures that take longer to heal.

As the stresses of daily life are still experienced, we will continue with this corrective or ‘prevention’ phase to minimize the likelihood of your initial problems returning.

Adjustments might take place weekly or fortnightly in the corrective phase.

Wellness care – proactive care
The wellness phase of chiropractic care is about performing at your best. Having experienced how a healthy body affects performance in the things they love and need to do, many clients choose to have proactive care on an ongoing basis as a part of their healthy lifestyle.

Most clients of our Ocean Grove chiros have a regular check-up once every two, three or four weeks, depending on their lifestyle, their needs and their goals.

Health is very much an ongoing practice and journey, one that our chiropractors are here to wholeheartedly support you on.
